Authenticity

Although I love the artful~ heartful inspiration that makes my heart sing, sometimes......

all I can do is count. Count up, count down and try to get a grip on my thoughts and emotions.

I think it is important to be authentic and especially in blogging to Make sure we aren't creating a make believe land that won't allow us to be human. Now more than ever we need to accept one another as authentic human women. Embracing flawed and beautiful moments alike! I had struggled with a few days recently and tearfully painted this ugly brown and green journal pages...........stamping those numbers out with frustration.............let it dry overnight and began to apply truth to those angry, sad pages. It felt good. It took a long time and much patience to stamp out all those thoughts.........but I needed that. It was necessary. Once again, patience with self pays off and I am out frolicking this Memorial Day weekend! I hope you are too, but in case you are not, I hope you are inspired and feel the hug. One big authentic hug from me to you!

Inspired

Still inspired by Rebecca's red thread challenges.........but here is where I landed with this one! I realized it was just the piece that I had waited on since making this sign in December......

Oh Joy! Looky there~ I just glued it right down and it was perfect! Art is helping me reboot.

Made a dust ruffle out of some cheap Walmart curtains today too. I know many of you enjoy the journey of art and then again, some of us NEED art now and again don't we? It clears my mind, Happy's my heart and sends me in the right direction. Hope your day is artful too! XO

More red thread sessions......

From Rebecca.......Only I used orange thread instead. I practiced on a strip of linen........couldn't make the darn machine work for me...........lots of frustration later.......I finally turned it into "something" and made it an adornment for a special frame. You see, I fixed my eyes not on what was seen but on what was unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Don't give up. Let's make some cute things out of our uglies today:) A Monday hug my friends!

Check out Rebecca's tag challenge. It seemed like a good idea to warm up my sewing machine since another project is up next that will require it........more on that another day. For now, these tags were sweet fun for an hour this late afternoon. Seems to be one of my productive crafting times. Also limited time, after the school debriefing and before dinner:)...........I always hate having to quit! Now why can't I get that crafty when I have 2 or three free hours to really pour into it?? How about you ~when is your best crafty time of the day?

Lipstick Art

Oh my I needed this laugh! I looked down this morning to my empty tube of favorite lipstick and got the biggest chuckle. Thankyou God for humoring me this morning as well as nudging me with those deeper truths. Decompressing after that all out Xalted event last night. So many blessings..........hope you enjoy the flowers too:)

PS~ there wasn't any lipstick showing but when I stuck the flowers in, there was just enough that they actually are steady. Wow~don't you adore exploring art?! It can be so simple. .......... I can make it so hard:) XO

So very excited

Anna and I have been practicing much, but I had to sneak a minute away from practice and prep time for the upcoming Xalted event (see sidebar). Just wanted to tell you about a sweet moment while out walking/jogging today...... (I call it bouncing really, too fast for walking ~too slow for a run! ha! ) Well now on to story:)...... I had a sweet bird swoop down in from behind me, and his little friend chasing right behind~ and I commented to God how wowed I was at this scene right in front of me! Just then I sensed a sweet whisper .........."oh yeah? Well just watch THIS!!!"
I'm truely anxious with great expectation of His showing off at this teen event called Xalted this weekend. He is so faithful and fun. Holy and Humorous. Divinely inspired today.
He is so good...........a little showy, but good:) Have to love it! Love to all of you too. If I haven't responded to email, please forgive........will be back soon! XO
