Enjoying the view to my
little slice of heaven!
Oh little playmate, come out and play with me, and bring your dolly's three........beneath the apple tree........

Just a bit more to peek at in the new art room.....
a lovely spot of mine......that I can't get to use since I am downstirs helping hubby do the rest...........sigh! But alas there is creativity in the air with a second chance at going to Silver Bella this year! It's a creative time in Omaha with classes and junking. Going with my local junky friends Lisa Orme and Hope Ellington, and last but not the least of my blogger buddies, Stepahnie Oyler !! So many more ladies we met last year to hook up with. I'm sure I will post more on them when I get back. For now, I'll say goodnight gracie and spend the next two days getting things and people around here organized and ready to go. Looking forward to all that this artful Silver Bella community has to share with one another. Aww, that dream harvesting I talked about a few posts ago! How about you?? What dream are you working and playing on right now??? God bless!

New art room today. Well it took over a week from tear down, floor installation by hubby, and back together. It has been my joy to do so. Still feeling blueish........but.......... oh my what a blessing this new room is! I am grateful today. So many things to be grateful for. I am also grateful for this scripture I have hung onto this week: .....Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.......Isaiah 30:15 Peace and rest and confidence in your standing today friends! Creative time too, no matter what that looks like. Stop and see the beauty in all creation today too~ and be Thankful. It helps a lot:) XO

Another Art Room peek

I thought you might enjoy a look at my art room and some ribbon inspiration. The whole space is being revamped.....flooring and all. In fact, my whole life feels like that right now! Quite honestly I have been blue! I think it is important to be authentic so I don't want anyone reading to assume everything is easy in this artful/heartful life.
I read this quote today from Stormie O'martian. "....we think that dependency is a sign of weakness, instead of understanding that it signals our willingness to allow God to be strong in us." From her book "Just enought light for the step I am on." (Thanks Anjie!)
Ok, then..............I'm willing!! All signals out here. Green lights are on for God today, girls!
Just know if you aren't feeling strong, He is.
He knows it, and He cares. Being Still and waiting on His strength. Monday prayers for wellness for you and your loved ones too, dear friends!

Harvest a dream

Perhaps you have a dream you are ready to harvest right now?
Psalm 37:4 says Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Sometimes we just have to know what that dream is........sometimes we have to work to get it in alignment with God's eternal purpose for us.......sometimes we are running from our dreams. Listen to Psalm 37:23 (I added girl for man) If the Lord delights in a girl's way he makes her steps firm: though she stumble and fall, He will not fall, for the Lord upholds her with his hand. Ok, you can just about bet I will stumble and fall, but this gives me courage girls~ Trust in His hand.........Dream your dream! Pouring these little Christmas buckets of blessing out over you today! XO

Harvest time

Remember a few days ago.......A time for everything under the sun........a time to reap and a time to sow...........? It was time for the farmers to harvest the ground that surrounds our house yesterday. What is it time for in your life? God so wants to bring us to a higher ground. A place of Freedom. Think about what you are ready for, as God is, to Harvest in your life. I'll do the same. We will talk about it more in the next few days. Leave a post brave ones!

Listen, Watch, Rest

Painting my John Michael Carter.

Ruth Haley Barton's Sabbath in Late Fall:

Sometimes on the Sabbath all you can do is

settle into the soft body of yourself

and listen to what it says.

Listen to

the exhaustion that is deeper than tiredness...

the hunger that is for more than food ..... the thirst that is for more than drink......

the longing for comfort that is more than physical.

On the sabbath, body and soul reach out for time of a different sort

Time that is full of space rather than activity:

Time to watch the burning bush in your own backyard....the movement of the wind among bare

branches....the last leaf clinging to the branch before it's final letting go.

Words

We are told in Proverbs 18 that our tongues have the power of life and death. A lesson that hit home this week with my 7th grader. Even though she was the victim, so to speak, the one who hurt her, actually hurt themselves .......You see, Proverbs goes on to say "that those who love it will eat it's fruit." No one wins or gains ever, with ill words. What we also learned is that our reaction to those words counts bigtime. It is our Witness. It is life and godliness itself! The good fruit. A good lesson for the whole family this week. I am so very proud of my 7th grade girl! We taught her some, She taught us some, and the Good Lord taught us all. Blessings to you my friends, and all your sweet valuable words!
