Authenticity

Although I love the artful~ heartful inspiration that makes my heart sing, sometimes......
all I can do is count. Count up, count down and try to get a grip on my thoughts and emotions.

I think it is important to be authentic and especially in blogging to Make sure we aren't creating a make believe land that won't allow us to be human. Now more than ever we need to accept one another as authentic human women. Embracing flawed and beautiful moments alike! I had struggled with a few days recently and tearfully painted this ugly brown and green journal pages...........stamping those numbers out with frustration.............let it dry overnight and began to apply truth to those angry, sad pages. It felt good. It took a long time and much patience to stamp out all those thoughts.........but I needed that. It was necessary. Once again, patience with self pays off and I am out frolicking this Memorial Day weekend! I hope you are too, but in case you are not, I hope you are inspired and feel the hug. One big authentic hug from me to you!
XOXO

I so agree with your comment about blogging authentistically and not creating a fantasyland....Who wants to spend their precious time on blogs that are just fluffy, fancy words and full of photos that are passed off as their own but are really images from the internet...

I appreciate transparency as I truly believe so many do...And, I certainly find that here @ your blog...

Love ya, sweet friend...

Wow! What an amazing piece of art. I love how you worked through the moment so methodically and applied God's truth to the situation through your art. What a testimony to His working in your life and your commitment to His truth . . . no matter what the feelings!

I couldn't help but think of the parallels between your creation and the Psalms. The way so many begin with raw emotions spilling out and work their way to applying truths...love this piece and the wisdom found within your post!

You girls are inspiring me so! Yes, I am passionate about His truths and yes, we do have to work it out and apply them. Art journaling has been an avenue for that and I am excited to teach it to some teen girls this Summer. Hopefully some adult girls too:)
Learning, learning all the time!
You lift me and help me fly~thankyou so much! XO
