Something I am working on

If you want to play, dream............stitch maybe, just look here to sign up for Teresa McFayden's lateset E-zine. Click here for her fun blog. I love it! I'm usually working on it in the car while waiting on theatre practice to let out. Uh, yes I leave a little early so I have more time! Also at night on the couch with my family. I am finding it serves a great purpose for me right now. Hope you will too! Especially Anjie...(no pressure anj!).......oh little playmate come out and play with me..........and bring your dolly's three, beneath the apple tree. Love that song. Used to sing it to wake Anna up. Think I should do that again~ it's been a while:) Hope your weekend is playful my friends!

She plays

The bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song. Hope you songbirds are all singing! We need to usher in Spring.... and fast!!!

Found treasures

Just wondering..............since I found these old pastels in my art stash........28 years old they are..........what is your oldest artful item? A paintbrush maybe? Something that you yourself have used. I was 17 when I purchased these. I remember thinking it was a slice of heaven to get such an array of colors. Mine all mine:) I'm so glad they still are! Just used them yesterday. Haven't used them for years, honestly. Can't wait to hear what you have!

So blessed!

Just the sweetest thing from Georgia, namely Sue donated this georgeous vintage wallpaper stash to Haiti by Hand and of course I went weak in the knees and had to have it. The more I read her blog and bio, the weaker they got! If that wasn't enough.........when the package arrived, much to my surprise Sue had researched my blog and saw that I collected "4"s and sent me all these darling Fours pictured! Oh my, it's a wonder I can walk. Kindness with legs......walking out randmom acts and Love is shared! It's fun to be the legs walkingn and fun to be the weak knee one once in a while too. Thankyou so much Sue! You are golden! All my friends~ Be sure and check out Haiti by Hand for your next gift, or treat yourself! Rebecca has raised $7ooo and all the proceeds go to a specific mission group of beautiful Haitian women she is working with over there. Thank you for your generosity! XO

Heart Peace

I have told you these things so that in me, you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart!
I have overcome the world.

Stole my heart

Love is in the air............always! Look to the trees, the skies, the weather and then inside. To count blessings of self, of loved ones, and yes, even things. May the object of your true affection be an everlasting one. Know also that you are truely loved beyond words. That kind of love that makes you spill over and can't help but love others~ that kind of love. Even the sometimes unloveliness.. Even ourselves.

Shine on

A couple of weeks ago, after a beautiful snowfall began to melt I was driving along and noticed this. Just dirty snow on the side of the road. Then the potholes full of dirty water. It felt yucky, dirty and certainly not pretty at all. But this day, the sun was out and the sky was a beautiful bright shade of blue. All of a sudden it hit me~ I saw it! That beautiful blue was being reflected in those dirty water potholes! It was stunning. I was reminded that God's glory knows no boundaries, and His beauty in all creation is visible even in the dirtiest, yuckiest places. We are getting a fresh snowfall today and it feels good:) I'm sure there will be more dirt to follow, but I know either way His glory shines!

Fair Lady helps Haiti

This Fair little lady is off to a new home today! Let me tell you a little about her. She and her ring box were purchased while I attended Silver Bella 2008, and at Second Chance antiques, a quaint little store on the bricklined streets of Omaha. As chance would have it, although she came home to Bloomington Indiana, her whereabouts remained a mystery for nearly a year! It wasn't until I purchased her lovely pink tuille skirt (vintage trim) while attending Silver Bella 2009 at Jenni Bowlin's booth that she came out of hiding! She was just waiting on the right outfit~eh? Still, I didnt' feel the need to assemble her little cuteness just yet~ not until a blog post by Rebecca Sower. Haitian Women were the call. Please check out the Etsy site she has set up to help here and here. More and more, we are learning of the truth that although Haiti is out of the media, they are just as desperate as ever. Rebecca supports a specific mission there, you can read more about it on the above blogs. If you haven't helped yet, give it a try and if you have, like me~ let's not give up trying~ not yet! By the way, the Fair little lady is off to a new dear home in South Carolina! Thankyou Diane for your purchase!
