1 Corinthians 2:11-13 11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.

I'm truely full to overflowing......gushing today. Beautiful day here! The ARt journal page from this past weekend says it nicely........and oh my this beautiful thoughtful gift from JackSONGirl in Arkansas. Thankyou so much dear friend! Being a good reciever today. Dear Friends!

Dear friends & loved ones! Been thinking of y0u much this day. So thankful for you. It's about relationship, really. This life thing, I mean. A gesture, a prayer, a word, a small gift~ha~ even a text! It's all very valuable! Please forgive me if I dont' always follow through on my good thoughts toward you this Summer..... really on an adventure with my own. Feeling led to be focused on the 13 year old and hubby right now. 3 other grown daughters as well. Growing good things over here this Summer. Thankful for this blog and ways to reach out and to bubble over. Love reading yours too and some sweet emails:) And Thankyou Hope for your sweet thoughtful gift above. It was on my doorstep at a very timely moment:) Just LOVE my new "Fours" !! Love you too! XO

Welcome my Friends~ to Humble Pie!

I hope you will enjoy a peek into my space! I look forward to so many or yours as well at Karen's party here this weekend! This room is an upstairs bedroom reclaimed after two of my four daughters have rotated through it. It is a room that has deep and redeeming meaning to me personally and has saved me, and I have saved it~ and so continues to daily. It is a colorful, happy spot for me and I hope a little fun for you today too! Thanks for stopping by!

Some of my key inspiration spots are my paper stash right next to my work table (top) and the great wallpaper stash out and close by under the old signmakers work table. I love my pink tree with felt ornaments from a special swap I was in with artists I adore. Last but not least the gate I purchased two years ago while attending Silver Bella and those sweet friends who helped me carry it across town in the rain and haul it home:)

My Faith, love for color and everything vintage comes out all over my art room. It's good care envelopes me just like music, which sometimes I play, and sometimes I work in silence.

And last but not least, my constant support Trueman. xo

My love affair with ARt Journaling continues

Just wanted to share some pictures of an online class that I have been doing these past couple of weeks from here ........not near finished, but you will get the idea. Thought for the weekend

In case you didn't see Sue's version of this a few posts ago~ check her's out as well. For now, I thought I would show you mine!

A good friend of mine and Christian Counselor commented that this is the number one problem that she sees in her office~ not her quote, but basically what she was saying. I find this to be true with myself, so when I heard this a few months back, I began to try to stay alert to the fact.........assumption kills! ....Relationships, our dreams, our very lives! And when you think about it, our wrong thought process (with assumption) usually starts out with the word "they"....... what we assume about others is a killer!! We truely don't know about "they"~ Not even some of our dear friends, even siblings! They don't know your internal full story either. So then, what do we do when others are assuming things about us too? We remember our confidence in who we are, in what we know and how we've grown and what we've worked hard for and continue to that other's might not see. Don't look around and ask for it either~ other's opinions of me are not my strength, nor yours. And maybe you looked past the word's ASSUMPTUON KILLS in the picture above and saw one of my very favorites.......Jeremiah 29:11. And back to that Sweet Sue ~ she reminded me of that truth that I only play to "an audience of one". I love to think about the fact that God knows me full well and never ever has to assume anything about me and has great plans for me even! You too!

Today........

Today, i was an artful soul....aaaaahhhhhhh.......and this is one of the fun experiments I formed. This is an idea for Lola Rue and her art class for girls..........details to follow. Doodle page was the idea Lisa has..........for me, this is doodle page today. I can see adding lots more doodles.....maybe a canvas bag, or board..........oh the possibilities are endless. Inspired by my teenage friends, I am sure:) Having a lot of fun with Pink and Green today too. My range of color and ideas just soared today. So grateful for these play days. I do hope your weekend is playful, my friends!

Just thought I would share a moment from my home last night.........yes, she truely is 13! You can see it in her eyes can' t you? So funny:) At least Trueman is smiling in the background!
