Harvest a dream

Perhaps you have a dream you are ready to harvest right now?
Psalm 37:4 says Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Sometimes we just have to know what that dream is........sometimes we have to work to get it in alignment with God's eternal purpose for us.......sometimes we are running from our dreams. Listen to Psalm 37:23 (I added girl for man) If the Lord delights in a girl's way he makes her steps firm: though she stumble and fall, He will not fall, for the Lord upholds her with his hand. Ok, you can just about bet I will stumble and fall, but this gives me courage girls~ Trust in His hand.........Dream your dream! Pouring these little Christmas buckets of blessing out over you today! Harvest time

Remember a few days ago.......A time for everything under the sun........a time to reap and a time to sow...........? It was time for the farmers to harvest the ground that surrounds our house yesterday. What is it time for in your life? God so wants to bring us to a higher ground. A place of Freedom. Think about what you are ready for, as God is, to Harvest in your life. I'll do the same. We will talk about it more in the next few days. Leave a post brave ones!

Listen, Watch, Rest

Painting my John Michael Carter.

Ruth Haley Barton's Sabbath in Late Fall:

Sometimes on the Sabbath all you can do is

settle into the soft body of yourself

and listen to what it says.

Listen to

the exhaustion that is deeper than tiredness...

the hunger that is for more than food ..... the thirst that is for more than drink......

the longing for comfort that is more than physical.

On the sabbath, body and soul reach out for time of a different sort

Time that is full of space rather than activity:

Time to watch the burning bush in your own backyard....the movement of the wind among bare

branches....the last leaf clinging to the branch before it's final letting go.

Words

We are told in Proverbs 18 that our tongues have the power of life and death. A lesson that hit home this week with my 7th grader. Even though she was the victim, so to speak, the one who hurt her, actually hurt themselves .......You see, Proverbs goes on to say "that those who love it will eat it's fruit." No one wins or gains ever, with ill words. What we also learned is that our reaction to those words counts bigtime. It is our Witness. It is life and godliness itself! The good fruit. A good lesson for the whole family this week. I am so very proud of my 7th grade girl! We taught her some, She taught us some, and the Good Lord taught us all. Blessings to you my friends, and all your sweet valuable words!

Found treasures

Went on that anniversary outing this weekend! While it was only 30 hours long. The trip with Hubby to Tennessee and back.......shew..........was fun and productive. We picked out new flooring after several weeks of not knowing what to get, and I, myself enjoyed a little jaunt to Historic Clarksville. Here are some of my goodies from Artifacts emporium that was just above Hodgepodge which was another fun store we visited. Check out Woofus the dog~published in 1944~ It has real fuzz on the doggie on all the pages!! Awwww Life is good in the fast lane this weekend. And what will I do with that woofus book?! Not sure yet, but the night before Christmas will be something darling in Lola Rue very soon for the Christmas Open House on November 7th. Mark your calendars! XO

Fall beginnings

Looking out my front door, I see the beginnings of Fall. It's so exciting to see it all unfold, isn't it? Living in Indiana makes for quite a show this time of year! Still, somehow just the anticipation of the unknown or just in change itself leaves us a little uneasy sometimes. What?, you say..........It's only a season? There is a season for everything under the sun..........a time to live and a time to die................you know how that goes.

Perspectives from two patios........and the last little bit of greenery left.

I love the green, green grass. Soon, we will have to say good bye to that.......but with Thanksgiving (literally!)~ we find a new season to cherish.

Enjoy the view from where ever you are today and weekend blessings of bounty to you! XO

A little scattered

I've heard that patience is a virtue. I know that patience is one of the Fruits of the Spirit.
I know that I don't have very much right now! These are my wedding anniversary roses from last Saturday. So far each planned thing to celebrate it has gotten dashed.........first the day itself was October 3rd, I had a migrane ~ I don't get migranes!!! The amazing trip we planned for next week, was cancelled........the second (a smaller) day trip now has a new conflict. Relationships and Circumstances take Patience. Better snuggle up to some good word and prayer on this one. These are trying times, no mistake. Know that on those days when we can't twirl (last post) we can be authentic, admit our challenge and work through it. We can remain ahead of discouragment. That's Patience! Peace and beautiful roses to you my friends!
